Ireland sent a team of three to this year’s European Championships, held in the Russian town of Sochi. Cadet Championships [Full results] London-based Sophia Kalimtgis (Knightsbridge FC) defeated Dzekevich BLR and Cervenkova CZE in the pool. JWC Bochum (Foil): Anna Lee reaches the L64

Anna Lee (Pembroke FC) came through her pool with a single defeat (5-4 to world no. 2 Ebert GER). JWC Riga (Épée) – Verdon out in first round

Paul Verdon (Stirling University) fenced at the Riga Junior World Cup on Saturday, placing 239th overall.  Tibor Andrasfi HUN reached the second JWC final of his career, taking gold for the first time ahead of reigning cadet world champion Davide de Veroli ITA.
