The Kupittaa satellite took place this weekend, drawing 139 épéeists from all over the world to Turku, Finland.

Junior fencer Philip Slater (Lisburn Gladiators) defeated Nilsson SWE, Eliassen NOR, Anttila FIN and Niklasson SWE, qualifying easily for the tableau. He eliminated Tam HKG in the first roujnd but was knocked out by Bade FIN in the L64. Slater finished 48th.

Jamie Simpson (Imperial) progressed to the DEs with pool victories over Kosunen FIN and Hagberg SWE, but was defeated by Lando-Trottein SWE in the L128 and placed 105th. Oliver Hope (Kings School Canterbury) defeated Paolini ITA and Lund SWE in the pool, but lost to Dubouski BLR in the first round of DEs. Hope finished 111th.

Despite victories over Jarl SWE and Hamalainen FIN in the pool, Jonathan Burnside (Foyle) sadly missed the cut by one place and came 114th. Arran Hope (Kings School Canterbury) beat Durdyyev TUR in the pool but also missed the cut, placing 118th.
