Well done to the three foilists in action today at the SISTA-MMIT Satellite in Amsterdam.

Brendan Cusack (Empire United) reached the L32, securing a first-round bye with pool victories over Simon HUN, Bosman NED, Newalsing NED, and Teteris LAT. He defeated Servello ARG 15-10 and was knocked out by poolmate Teteris in the L32. Cusack placed 24th of 107.

Also with four pool victories (over Kouwenberg NED, Crnjak BEL, Alderman GBR and Campagna ITA) was David Alexander of Nottingham Cavaliers. Alexander earned a bye into the L64 only to be overturned by Cook GBR. He placed 39th.

Conor Nagle defeated Brougham GBR and Baris NED in the pool, fighting his way into the L64 with a 15-12 victory over Abidogun GBR. He was knocked out 15-5 by eventual bronze medallist Giacon NED.

Congratulations on all three fencers. Best of luck to our female foilists and our sabreurs in tomorrow’s tournament!
