Over 30 Irish fencers and pentathletes converged on the National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown for a four-day épée camp hosted by Brian Boru FC

Four members of the Romanian national team were in attendance: Andrei Timoce (148th in the world), Alin Sbarcia (170th), Liviu Dragomir (297th), and Adrian Szilagyi (298th).
For Sbarcia and Dragomir, this was a second visit to Ireland in six months, having taken silver and bronze respectively at November's Irish Open satellite.

The Irish presence included most of the national top 10s in épée, international pentathletes up to Olympic level, and a strong showing from cadet fencers.

The weekend culminated in a mixed tournament on Sunday, giving our fencers a chance to put theory into practice.
