FIE Satellite (Epee and Sabre): L16 for Kirimlidis in Turku

Well done to Michalis Kirimlidis (Salle Dublin) who reached the L16 at the Turku sabre satellite this weekend. After defeating De Jong Skierus SWE and Kuusela FIN in the pools, Kirimlidis overturned Gander-Compton GBR in the L32. He was knocked out by Yildrim TUR, the eventual tournament champion. Bronze for Methodist College’s Sigurdsson at PSFC

Fourteen NI fencers took part in the Public Schools' Fencing Championships in London last week, competing across all three weapons. Junior Foil Daniel Sigurdsson (Methodist College Belfast) earned the result of the tournament, taking bronze in a field of 106 in Junior Foil. The fourth event of the Élite Épée series took place in Northamptonshire, UK on Sunday, with four Irish fencers making the trip. EFC Cadet Sabre: Aime 170th in Eislingen

Frantz Aime (CHC Châtelaine) had a frustrating morning on the Cadet Circuit in Eislingen. Finishing his pool with one victory (Kuhling GER) and two belle-touche defeats (Frohlich HUN, Wagner GER), he missed the cut by 5 places and placed 170th of 213.
