Three junior épéeists travelled to Latvia this weekend for the Junior World Cup in Riga. Philip Slater (Lisburn Gladiators) was V0D6 in the pool to seed 127th. Well done to David Alexander at the Löwe von Bonn in Germany this weekend, the fourth World Cup of the season. In the pool, Alexander was V2D4 including two narrow 5-4 defeats. Unfortunately, he missed the cut by just two places and placed 160th of 211 fencers.

The GLL Camden International Cadet Sabre Tournament took place today at Olympic Park in London, attracting 79 fencers from 14 countries. Rosie McGonagle, recently selected for the European Cadet Championships in Women’s Épée, competed on the European Cadet Circuit for the second time this season in Espoo, Finland today. Following the pool, she seeded 58th with V0D6, and did not progress to the DEs.
The World Cup circuit in Men’s Sabre continued this weekend with the Trophée Luxardo in Padua, hosted by the Italian Fencing Federation.
