Anna Lee made it through to Day 2 of the Challenge CEP Marathon, which was contested today in Paris.
V7D5 in yesterday’s pools saw Lee through two cuts and into the preliminary tableau, where a victory over Patel GBR put the Pembroke cadet into the final L64.
This morning, Lee faced 12th seed Schiavone ITA, but was knocked out of the main tableau, entering the repechage. A 12-9 victory over Holze GER brought Lee up against Tse USA, fencing for a chance to return to the main L32 of the tournament. US #9 Tse progressed 15-7, with Lee earning a hard-fought final placing of 46th.
