David Alexander placed 14th today at the Leon Paul Cup satellite in London. A strong start to the day included victories over Servello ARG, Vinluan PHI, Zarettsky ISR and Mosiello ITA and a place in the tableau.

Alexander scored decisive victories over Ou TPE and Egyenes Porsok SVK in the opening rounds, before earning a place in the L16 with a 15-12 upset of Kuceba LAT. In the L16 Alexander faced Benjamin Kleibrink GER. Former Olympic champion Kleibrink, who also won Olympic bronze with the German team in London for years ago, progressed 14-5.

Brendan Cusack also performed well in the pools defeating Mindelof SWE, Di Martino ITA, Orszynski POL, and Scavasin BRA. He was overturned by Blumentals LAT in the L128 and placed 73rd.

Conor Nagle was V3D3 having beaten Wohlgemuth AUT, Archer GBR and Koren ISR in the pool. He also progressed to the DEs, but was knocked out in the L128 by Min Chen of China. Nagle finished 92nd.

Gavin Williams and Phillip Cripwell were eliminated after the pool and finished 151st and 159th respectively.
