Cripwell 85th at Györ JWC

111 of the world’s top junior foilists took part in the Coupe Heracles in Hungary, including DUFC’s Phillip Cripwell. Despite a victory over Viktor Haladej of the Czech Republic, Phillip seeded two places short of the cut for the tableau, placing 85th overall. Following the Galway Open, the Irish senior rankings have been updated and are correct as of 22 September 2015. Men’s Epee | Women’s Epee | Men’s Foil | Women’s Foil | Men’s Sabre | Women’s Sabre The national junior and cadet rankings will be updated as usual on 1 October.

Another podium for Duxbury at Bristol Open

Victoria Duxbury (Edinburgh) consolidated a superb start to the season with second podium finish, adding bronze at Bristol to her recent successes in Essex and Cork.  Fellow foilists included Dublin-based Joana Ramalho who placed 21st, and was closely followed by junior fencer Anna Lee (Pembroke) in 23rd.
