Dublin sabreurs out in force for Cole Cup satellite

The Cole Cup satellite in Men’s Sabre took place in London on 25 April, hosted at the new Leon Paul Fencing Centre. Stephen Concannon overturned Van Hoffelen GBR to reach the L16 for the second time this season. Michalis Kirimlidis was knocked out by Aiyenuro GBR and placed 30th, while Aidan Clarke finished 37th.

Success for Juniors at European Championships

Three Irish youth fencers competed at the Junior World Championships today, fencing in Women’s Foil and Men’s Épée. Épéeist Geoffrey Corcoran finished 98th at the Junior World Championships today, in his final season on the international junior circuit. Anna Lee reaches L64 at Cadet World Championships

Well done to Anna Lee in Women’s Foil at the Cadet World Championships in Tashkent today. Pool victories over Grum-Schwensen DEN and Aitzhanova KAZ allowed Anna to pass the cut and qualify for the DE tableau.
